We were recently visited by Mr. Floris van Eijk, a Dutch diplomat who is stationed at the embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Bogota, Colombia. Mr. van Eijk (R) was visiting Curacao on a business trip to launch the Feria International del Libro de Bogota ( FILBO) in Curacao.

This  literary  fair will take place from April 19 to May 2 in Bogota, Colombia and this year The Kingdom of the Netherlands will be the host of the FILBO.

The theme of this year’s FILBO will be “peace”. FILBO is one of the biggest literary fairs in the region and has yearly an estimated 500.000 visitors.

During the week of April 18 until April 22 a trade mission from the Kingdom of the Netherlands will be visiting Colombia.

 Frans & Associates will be one of the participants in this trade mission together with other entrepreneurs for Curacao, Aruba and the Netherlands. Part of the match making meetings between the entrepreneurs will take place in the Dutch Pavilion at the literary fair.

The FILBO will be officially opened on Wednesday April 22, 2016, by HRH. Princess Laurentien of the Netherlands and president Manuel Santos of Colombia.

There also well known authors from Curacao like among others Mr. Roland Colastica participating at the FILBO.

Frans & Associates who now has a (virtual) office in Bogota has decided to seize this unique opportunity to network with Colombian and Dutch entrepreneurs in order to capture prospect investors and other business in particular for Curacao and in general for her clients abroad.

Mr. Floris van Eijk and Mr. Robert Frans had a very pleasant meeting and discussed among other topics the set up of the FILBO, business opportunities in Colombia and how our firm can better interact with the various attaché’s at the embassy to give its clients a better service.
